This apparatus is used by students to study the conservation of energy when gravitational energy is changed to potential energy in a spring. Results can be obtained to within 1% accuracy.

Kit contains: 1 x spring: 1 x 1kg n=mass with Hook; 1 x 500g with 2 Hooks.

By supporting the spring on a retort stand and applying the masses single or together, Hooke's law can be explored and proven. Measurements must be performed by rule or tape measure. For most accurate results, the masses should be weighed to check their mass.
