Description: The English Zone Intermediate Student Book builds on the skills developed in the Beginner, Elementary and Pre-Intermediate books. It also acknowledges the need for students within the New Zealand secondary school system to gain their level literacy component for university entry. It is flexible to the needs of the individual student but also takes account of the time constraints of a school year, the weeks in the term and hours devoted to English each day.

The Intermediate Student Book has been done in workbook form, in order to give the student the opportunity to keep full records of all the material they will need their assessed work on completion of each Unit Standard. The Student Book also contains assessment activities for the Unit Standards required for literacy credits.
